There's nothing quite like the feeling of your own bed. Can I get an AMEN?! The majority of this past week was spent on not so familiar mattresses but for good reason. I ventured out to the desert to shoot a fun lookbook that I will be posting about over the next few months. Let's just say shooting for fall in 100 degree weather is as hard as it sounds. I also noticed that heat brings out the kindergartener in people- suddenly everyone needs a mid-day nap.

On top of my desert diva trip I also headed down south to my old stomping grounds- San Diego! I haven't been back in a couple years and especially haven't explored the neighborhoods I used to frequent in even longer. It's strange how a place can feel so different yet exactly the same as you remember it. Like time stood still but just added 10 blocks of high-rise apartments and 5 billion craft beer restaurants.

Until we meet again Southern California freeways and my little mini road trips. I have a feeling I'll be seeing you again very soon.

So June has flown by like a bullet shooting out of a gun and I'm sitting here staring at my Google calendar scratching my head in disbelief. The days may feel long, but the years are definitely short. June has lived up to it's reputation as being gloomy AF and I for one don't appreciate it. Looking at these photos gives me hope for sunnier days. Who doesn't love to reminisce?

I'm itching for an escape from LA so this weekend I'll be heading down south to hit up my old San Diego stomping grounds and next week will be spent in the desert. The timing couldn't be better. I love this city but sometimes a girl needs a change of scenery, you feel me?? Amen to intact sanity.
