LBB Lust List: Astrid & Miyu Jewelry

posted on: Thursday, January 26, 2017

I am always on the hunt for new, amazing jewelry lines and my pattern is clear- delicate and feminine but with an edge. Enter: Astrid & Miyu

Their line carries everything from necklaces, to rings, to bracelets, to even personalized jewelry. I completely got lost in the earrings section which comes as no surprise. But what I LOVE the most is that every piece Astrid & Miyu offers comes in gold, silver, AND rose gold. WHAT! Seriously a dream for this indecisive lady who has the habit of buying the same item in multiple metals when the love is just too strong. It also is so helpful in being able to buy pieces that will undoubtedly look amazing when paired all together.

My Astrid & Miyu picks included two ear cuffs that I have been wearing nonstop. A few months ago I got 4 piercings all at once (ouch and hello fear of needles) because my end goal is to rock hoops. Since I have to let those piercings heal until April, these cuffs are a dream! I have had a lot of experience with ear cuffs in the past and sadly haven't had the best of luck. But these do not fall off AT ALL! They are so secure, look great, and I need them in silver now.

Customizable GRLFRND Denim

Tis no secret that my when it comes to denim, my heart lies with GRLFRND denim from Revolve. I rotate them heavily throughout my week for many reasons. They fit amazingly, they never become baggy after one wear, and the cuts reign supreme.

Of course when I found out they offer custom pairs I had to join in on the fun! Being my cheeky self, I decided to inscribe my beloved Karolina's with a saying I say far too often- "Link in bio." Hehe.

They also offer customizable options for the Cindy High-Rise Short and Daria Trucker Jacket.

Whether it's your name, nickname, or favorite saying- have some fun with a customizable pair of your own!

Last week I ventured to the desert to check out Altec Lansing at CES. If you haven't heard of CES before, it is the global consumer electronics and technology tradeshow. Basically the epicenter of all new electronic releases. So naturally, Altec Lansing had a major presence along with their first ever celebrity partnership with...drumroll please...Nick Jonas!

I was lucky enough to be alongside the team to debut the collab! 2017 is definitely the year of Bluetooth Headphones and the collection does not disappoint. To top it off, the designs have been taken up many notches. Enter the sleek styles of the Altec Lansing x Nick Jonas collab.

They really nailed it with the sleek factor- all black or white with contrasting rose gold. Heaven! The sound quality is rich and clear which is a hallmark of all Altec Lansing products. I've been rocking the headsets for the last two months (both over-the-ear and in-ear) and they have quickly become a travel/workout/everyday necessity. My favorite feature highlights include:

+ 7 hour battery life
+ Noise canceling
+ Waterproof
+ Touch control panel

Of course we work hard and play equally harder so after the days filled at CES, the team planned amazing events. My favorites were the drool-worthy dinner at Lavo and the party with Nick Jonas at Marquee.

The trip wouldn't have been complete without meeting the man of the hour himself- Nick! Incredibly kind and humble to say the least. I can't say enough good things about him and this collection.

The Bluetooth Headphones will be releasing in the next couple months but I am so glad to give you a SNEAK PEEK now! Definitely stay tuned!

Top 5 Cozy Knits With Express

Do not attempt to adjust your screens, I am as comfy as I look.

In my previous post we discussed (or I ranted) about my outlook and intentions for the new year. This month I have partnered with Express to talk about that in a little more detail with one goal high up on my priority list- spending more time with family!

Whether that is a trip to the mountains, Sunday brunch, or coffee with mama- you can never go wrong with denim and a cozy knit. The look is an effortlessly chic canvas that can easily be made your own in the details.

Here I added my own twist by pairing neutrals with a print, ripped denim, and a playful patchwork bag. Here are my top 5 current favorite knits from Express:

I'm still coming down from a holiday high where I was really reminded of the importance of family. Life can get beyond hectic but carving out time for my loved ones is really what fills my happiness tank. Oh, and also insanely cozy knits that I will probably wear to bed.

Cheers babes!

New Year Intentions 2017

2017, who dis?

We made it to the other side guys! It's a brand new year where we can wipe the slate clean and welcome new, prosperous beginnings. With 2017 here, I am reflecting on the past 12 months and looking forward to the next dozen.

Last winter I found myself in a bit of a rut. I wasn't exactly sure what I needed but I knew I needed a change. I had recently quit my  job and for the first time in my 5 years of blogging, decided to tackle it full-time. Funnily enough, I wasn't scared one bit because I knew it was the right step in the direction I saw myself going in. I entered 2016 with an open-mind and outlook. I changed my mindset from one of apprehension and caution, to one of ambition and motivation.

One thing I think we can all agree on is that New Year's Resolutions don't ever, and I mean ever, work. But with that said, I do believe in setting intentions that will set the tone for the rest of your following months. I wanted to travel more, work with bigger brands, and grow my business. There were opportunities I myself couldn't have even fathomed but when they presented themselves, my already refreshed, established mindset allowed me to accept the challenges without hesitation.

I encourage everyone to ditch the resolutions and set goals. Without them, what are you really working towards? Reflect on what didn't work last year and improve it. Pinpoint what did work, and nurture those successes.

I am sending lots of love to you and yours in hopes of a great 2017. I have a really good feeling about this one!

xx
