 I'm sure it's painfully clear that I really like beanies. I received my beloved 10th Tribe gem in the mail recently and am already itchin' for the next one. Like, settle down girl. Had a fun weekend celebrating my best amiga's birthday. Three of my friends and I have birthdays within three weeks of each other. Which is why this period of time is affectionately dubbed, "birthday season." It is also why we sleep in a lot on sundays. There is definitely a correlation between age and hangover severity. Oh to be 21 again.

There are so many styles that guys absolutely detest, yet us girls keep rocking them day after day straight not givin' a hoot. And I for one think it's absolutely hilarious. A quick recap of said styles over the years include, but are not limited to, gladiator sandals, fashion turbans, jeggings, and my personal favorite- high waisted everything! "High waist, what a waste" is a phrase I hear quite often from the men in my life. Alas, wasting away is where I'll stay. This summer's uniform will definitely consist mainly of black crop tops and belly button reaching, light denim. How can it be wrong when it feels so right?

This jacket and purse have become definite every day staples. The bag is such a show stopper I'm pretty sure it enters a room before I do. Wore the two with this awesome dress. I am obsessed with the collar. It reminded me of Alexa Chung, and since I want to be her, it all works out. This past week was my birthday! I definitely had some super high highs and some super low lows. Even though life handed me a double scoop of a crap sundae, the big take away for me was how many awesome friends and family I have that made my birthday week amazing. Surprise karaoke night and a day of wine tasting? Score.

I've been very drawn to black dresses lately. Maybe it's because they go so well with little black boots. This bad boy is no exception. Gazed at the sunset this particular day from the Griffith Observatory. It was no easy feat battling the hoards of people who had the same idea. But we made it, and it was beautiful. Score one more for you Los Angeles.

Sometimes it's necessary to get out of town. Even if that means just driving 35 minutes north. Had a lovely daycation yesterday in LA wandering the streets and exploring neighborhoods I had previously only seen in the dead of night. Twas extremely chilly yesterday and I am not one to dress weather appropriate. Oh, it's 55 degrees out? Let me just reach for the nearest crop top. At least I wore a skirt that is basically a wearable blanket. LA has definitely grown on me. We're still working out the kinks, but the seemingly endless amount of Asian restaurants at your disposal is a good start.
