Shiseido Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother

There are lots of tricks out there for creating flawless skin in your photos *cough cough Facetune* but I want to share one with you that gets me camera ready every. single. time. 

My secret weapon is Shiseido's Ibuki Smart Filtering Smoother. This small but mighty bottle is my go-to photogenic product that combats shine and leaves me with my desired matte complexion instantly!

A few reasons to love this product include its ability to visibly reduce the size of pores and give the skin an incredibly smooth look. I like to put it on before applying my makeup and since it's so small and compact, I carry it around with me and apply for a mid-day refresh or before going to an event. Not having to worry about touchups before taking photos is a life-saver. It's as necessary to have with me as a tube of chapstick! And you guys know how much I love chapstick.

Summer Fits with Abercrombie

 

When you think of Southern California living, images of beach, palm trees, and sun kissed skin probably float through your head. And, I don't blame you! Those are a few of the many reasons I have loved living and growing up in this corner of the world. One brand that has been tried and true to the endless summer vibe is Abercrombie and Fitch. 

Made in collaboration with Abercrombie, I want to talk about the summer pieces you'll be coveting this season.

Since I was a high schooler coveting every piece and begging my mother to buy me a logo tee, Abercrombie has managed to develop and change with the times while always remaining true to it's core aesthetic. 

I personally have been so impressed with Abercrombie's new arrivals as of late. Think elevated basics with flattering silhouettes. I am especially drawn to their dress selections. You may have caught me donning one in downtown LA recently on my Instagram. 

In addition to their dresses, I am also gushing over their tees and rompers. I love playing with the minimal look and adding my own spin. I plan to wear these pieces and adding statement earrings and belts to make it Little Black Boots approved.

Sanuk Yoga Sling Sandals

I'll admit it...my shoe wall runneth over. But even with a very healthy selection I do see a pattern when it comes to what I actually don on my feet and what ends up collecting dust. Comfort and style go hand-in-hand for me. Why sacrifice one when you can have them both?

I've teamed up with Sanuk to introduce you to what has and will be my go-to sandal for this spring/summer season- the Sanuk Yoga Sling Sandal.  

YOU GUYS- I cannot stress how comfortable they are. The footbeds are made out of literal yoga mats. You feel like you are walking on clouds. Then you have the double stretch fabric that adds interest and an edge. 

I styled my Yoga Sling Sandals with my LA girl uniform- denim, a white tee, and leather jacket. The sandals would also look great with:

I love that Sanuk created a sandal that can be interpreted for so many lifestyles, terrains, and situations. From lunch meeting to shoots- this California girl was happy. Next I think a trip to the beach is necessary.

Sephora Fragrance Find: Nest Black Tulip

Every season I like to switch things up. Whether that's with my hair (hello short cut I love you), my wardrobe, or in this case- my scent!

One thing that remains the same is the fact that Sephora will always be my go-to for finding new fragrances. Ok I know what you're thinking...why? Finding a new scent can be tough so the trick is to shop somewhere that has the most variety but also doesn't leave you feeling overwhelmed. I love that Sephora carries all the iconic, big names we are familiar with but also houses a selection of cool, niche fragrances that have interesting stories behind them. You can weigh in on all your options and make the best decision before buying. I never suffer from fomo there. 

A fragrance that has been on my radar and I am so happy to finally  try is NEST Black Tulip. Think warm florals, black amber plums, and Japanese violet. Do I have your attention yet? So amazing!

What draws me to it is the perfect mix of sophistication, fun, and flirtiness. The fragrance is rich but not overwhelming which is major when choosing a scent for me. It's a seductive, warm, peppery fragrance so I could see myself wearing this during the evenings for a night out. I love having a warm floral as an option! 

NEST Black Tulip will definitely be tucked away in my purse or in my carry-on during trips all summer long. I love discovering new scents and honestly when you know...you know. This one is a keeper.
